PSA Ad

The PSA magazine ad I created advocates an anti-smoking campaign. In order to make the PSA effective, an alarming fact was placed on top of the ad that corresponds to the picture. It allows for the audience to gain awareness about how bad smoking cigarettes are for your body. The fact mentions the toxins that are in one cigarette and the picture puts into reality the amount smokers actually smoke. The question how many are you smoking? further enhances the message by making consumers think.

Visually, the PSA ad will catch audiences eyes for many reasons. The text throughout contains thick strokes and drop shadows to make it more noticeable and easier to read. The phrased question is larger than all the other text to help attract viewers. The color scheme allows for contrast between the background and the images. Finally the image of the pile of cigarettes is zoomed in and contains texture to highlight the danger of cigarettes; smoke was added as well for visual appeal.
