Magazine Ad

The Sawdust Art Festival is one of the most widely known and respected shows in California that sponsors Laguna Beaches local artists. I am very grateful for having been given the opportunity to design this years magazine Ad. When pondering ideas of design I came to the decision that I wanted to create an Ad that evoked the beach atmosphere that encompasses Laguna Beach. The Ad will compel intended audiences to visit the festival because of it showcases the geographical beauty. The central focus of the Ad is the wave that is crashing over the text. I used a cream colored texted, gave it a thick orange stroke, and added a drop shadow in order to have the words stand out and contrast the wave. I aligned the text in the center to allow for easy readably and to avoid making it look cluttered. The Ad is visually appealing because it features two images that fade into one another through the use of gradient feather, this allows for multiple viewpoints. Overall I hope you are pleased with the final result that I have created for you and that this years festival has the biggest success yet!
